We can win the division…..all depends on AJ and Pettite. Sabbathia will be automatic…..I have a feelin Wang will be a sleeper….he’s a veteran….he’ll figure it out…..Tex is in the house and he will hit Bombs
Yankees are only one game out of first? About time huh?!
Reggie, you planning on announcing your entry into the Sports Legends Challenge poker tournament soon? I heard Ditka talking about it the other day on the radio and saw you were participating. I know your fans would love to hear about it! Best of luck Reggie!
The yankees have the offense to win the pennent and maybe the world series BUT and i say that because it depends on how well the bullpen perform right now the pen is putting a lot of pressure on the offense because a two or three run lead isn’t enough in the late inning. I hate to say this but Joba is needed in the bullpen they can put Wang in the starting rotation. Take care Cuz:-)
better pitching from the starters will make the bullpen better. Bullpen pitchers are not the best pitchers on the team and when they start pitching more innings than the starters you look like we did..
If that happens again we’ll be bad again
The yankees have to start “taking” pitches again….guys like Jeter should not be swining at 3-0 counts……Posada and cano are guilty of this as well…I know many will disagree with me but we have to start taking “walks” again…..sick of 3-o and 3-1 week groundouts to second base…….If your name is is Arod or Texeria, START TAKING PITCHES……The yanks have to show that patience…….
Dear Mr. Jackson,
A number of years ago you gave my sister, Lia, a baseball autographed by Babe Ruth. She gave it to me, knowing that as a lifelong baseball fanatic, I would treasure it and pass it on to my kids, but she also mentioned that I could do whatever I wanted with it, including selling it. I thought I would hold it in the family indefinetly. It has now been stolen from me during a house robbery and my insurance company is holding out for some sort of proof of ownership. I had photos of the ball that disappeared at the same time of the robbery, and I think you could help me with a simple email reply. Just to remind you of the circumstances which prompted you to hand over this most precious gift, Lia was the front desk manager at the Raddison in Arlington, Texas, where you were staying with the visiting Yankees. She believed that the ball was quite valuable at the time, because her accompanying card mentioned a few trips back to Texas to visit. I live in Australia, so you can appreciate the cost of airfares for a family of four from here to Texas. I never doubted the authenticity of the ball, as it came from you, but I was only beginning the process required for authentication when it was stolen. What I’m asking you to do is simply confirm that you gave the ball to my sister (this would have been around 98 or 99?) and because we’re dealing with Aussies here, you could maybe mention that you’re a Hall of Famer and/or known as Mr. October. Without your help, they may not pay anything at all, but it depends on you remembering giving it to Lia, which I’m hoping you do. I am devastated by the loss, so any help you can offer would be most appreciated. You can email me direct on timsturk@gmail.com. Thanks, mate.
