Jeter had improved his agility this year going into the hole…its obvious he worked on it in the winter….The Capt is having a great fielding year….on pace for 200 hits and batting 300 with some pop…….Still needs to TAKE more first pitches buy is having a fine year

One of the really admirable things about Derek Jeter is that he is willing to play through his adversity - which this time was the flu. He played in the game on Sunday (June 28th) and played really well at that, although it was obvious to me (maybe it’s just the mom in me) in his face that he still wasn’t feeling well. And yet, there he was, being the team player that he is.
Additionally, in yesterday’s game (July 6th), when the 3rd base umpire called Derek out when it was so obvious in replay that he was not tagged (it was close but not there), Derek argued with the umpire but with a smile on his face the entire time. He is one of the greatest shortstops to ever play this great game and brings a lot of class to the Yankees organization.

Thanks, Nicholas, for the article. Of course, we fans who voted for Jeter knew we were right all along. I am thrilled that The Captain and Tex made the AL All-Star team. Both definitely deserve it.

Edwin Jackson of detroit looks like a really good pitcher…..He has great stuff…..Love what Chamberlin did today but also noticed this young phenom out of Detroit

This Hughes kid is looking great out of the bullpen. He looks like a fine 8th inning reliever. I am diggin his stuff and he throws strikes…..Hughes will be a starter one day but for now he is a reliable 8th inning guy. Very important as the race continues and the playoffs begin. BTW…does MO ever get OLD???
He has been dynamite……

The Yanks have to stop pussy footing around when it comes to Joba…..They try to handle him with “kid gloves” when it comes to pitch counts, etc……Let him battle……let him go 8 innings……He will have a good test vs Texas(Millwood-SP) at Yankees Stadium
