The Hawk
Congratulations to the Hawk, Andre Dawson, for making it to the Baseball Hall of Fame today. This was long overdue. I wasn’t sure if he was going to make it in, but there was no question in my mind that Andre deserved it. Andre had a number of big seasons and a great all around game. He hit stole bases, scored runs, hit home runs, all at a very high level. Andre never made an issue about making the Hall of Fame. He’s a very humble individual and never stressed himself out over getting in to the Hall or not. So once again congratulations to Andre, it’s about time!

Hi, Mr. Jackson. Hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season. So happy to hear about Mr. Dawson. He was certainly a great all around and very underrated player. Wish we had more like him in today’s game.
Hope to see more posts from you soon and have a great New Year.

You discovered the guy. Does Wenzlaff have credibility in the big picture. He convinced you and the Feds.

If anyone is interested, here is a link to an article from one Bay Area newspaper about a game that took place in 1936 at Oaks Park in Emeryville, CA (home of the PCL Oakland Oaks until 1955 - it’s now Pixar Animation Studios). http://www.contracostatimes.com/sports/ci_14267019
Future hall-of-famers: Satchel Paige vs. Joe DiMaggio. Great history!
BTW, 44, if my source is correct, the “Reggie Jackson Special” is still on the menu at Lois the Pie Queen”. I haven’t been there in years!
